Philanthropy: Ifeanyi Uke Baggs Compassion-In-Action Award, Described As An Embodiment of Kindness
In appreciation of his immense contributions to the growth and development of the society, the chairman of Board of Trustee of the Ifeanyi Uke Foundation, Dr. Ifeanyi Uke has been presented with the 2025 Compassion-In-Action Award by the Women’s Ministries of the Assemblies of God Church, Oboro II Section, on the occasion of their end of the year thanksgiving cum award-giving ceremony held at Assemblies of God church, Umudike/ Umuariaga on Saturday 1st November. Presenting the award, the National women’s President, Dcns. Mrs. Onyinyechi Stephen (Ph.D) described Dr Uke’s wave of philanthropy as one whose ripple effects of transformation are already felt across the board. Speaking about the event and the choice of Dr Uke for the Award, the secretary of the Award organizing committee Ms Lovelyn Nwabuko in a telephone interview said “I’ve seen all his contributions to humanity and community development, the countless scholarships and all he does for humanity through the Ifeanyi Uke Foundation. Honestly, the award best summarizes him, Compassion in Action. He has a milk of kindness flowing through him and he prioritizes the needs of others above his. In light of all these and more, he deserves the award.


Receiving the award on behalf of Dr Uke, Lolo Martha Nmesirionye (nee Uke), thanked the Women’s Ministries of the Assemblies of God, Oboro II section for the gift of recognition to Dr Uke. Lolo Nmesirionye assures the Women that Dr Uke would continue to better the lots of the society through the Ifeanyi Uke Foundation.
